Natural Health - Restoring Health With Ayurveda

Many years ago I first experienced the ease and intelligence of Ayurveda when returning from a 2 month intensive training.

Here is the background.............

There were no serious health problems but, my menstrual cycle was off balance. I went to a women's health seminar and met a Board Certified medical doctor who also practices Ayurvedic Medicine. I scheduled an appointment.

I filled out the medical history form before my appointment and we reviewed it when I saw her.
This was not like any medical appointment I had experienced and nothing like I was accustomed to as a registered nurse. She was mostly concerned with my daily lifestyle and habits. She did not run any tests, no medical equipment, and no needles to draw my blood.

When she was finished she made a few recommendations for changing some of the foods I was eating. She explained the my diet at the yoga center, although healthy, had put my body into a "dry" state cause my menstrual cycle to "dry up" as well. She also recommended an Ayurvedic herbal tablet, and a homeopathic remedy. In Ayurveda, recommendations are based on your individual constitution. or "dosha". She had spent one and one half hours getting to know me, and my habits.

Within a week my menstrual cycle was back on track and stayed that way for 10+ years, (until menopause). She gave me the tools and awareness, to care for my needs, that were specific to me. I knew then that this ancient healing system could help bring individuals to health and wellness in a simple yet profound way. I became a practitioner/consultant.

In Ayurveda the focus on your health and wellness is bringing harmony and balance through a natural system.

Here are three of the basics.......

~~ the first step to staying in good health is developing awareness for potential causes of disease, so you can avoid them or deal with them intelligently.

~~ the second step is taking action to modify causes you can't avoid or control.

~~ the third step is to restore balance once it begins to be lost.

Sounds pretty easy and common sense....doesn't it? In Ayurveda...... the mantra is, " Like attracts like."

The main method for restoring balance is to apply the opposite qualities. Here are some simple examples:

~~ If you are cold have some hot soup or take something warm to drink. This is not the time for an iced latte.

~~ If you are agitated or upset, sit down and do some deep breathing or meditation, even if it's only 3-5 minutes.

~~ If your Pitta (dosha) is feeling provoked and you're feeling hot under the collar, taking a swim, cool shower, or eating some sweet and cooling fruit can help.

It is such a simple approach that we often overlook it, but it is extremely powerful and effective. If you apply this approach you can quickly and effortlessly restore harmony and balance to the mind and body. In this way you can lay a foundation to prevent illness and also take a look at correcting imbalances.

World of Warcraft Mining Guide - Tips for Tier 2

Are you looking for ways to make more gold in World of Warcraft? If so, choosing the mining profession in World of Warcraft can be a great way to earn more gold. This article will provide you with a World of Warcraft mining guide for levels 66 through 125.

One of the most difficult tiers that you will need to grind through are wow mining levels 66 through 125. At mining level 66 World of Warcraft players need to start mining tin. Tin is often the ore that all miners mine at these levels. However, this guide provides a secret place where you can easily progress through these levels.

The best ore for you to mine in World of Warcraft for these mining skill levels is incendicite. This is a very rare ore that is only found in cave in Azeroth. You heard me right, it is only in one cave. This is great for the wow mining, because incendicite spawns very quickly in this one cave. So where is this cave?

The cave is called Thelgan Rock which is in The Wetlands. This cave is home to the incendicite ore. The Incendicite ore is part of an Alliance quest. Despite being an alliance only quest, Horde players can also mine this ore. You should be able to go from mining levels 66 through 125 in about 60 minutes. However, this time will change if there is a lot of competition for the nodes.

I hope that this World of Warcraft mining guide helps you progress through these levels.

5 Reasons Why Blogs Fail

Here is a proven fact: 95% of all blogs fail. This figure even includes those blogs which people set up as hobbies. Most of these blogs never develop a following, other than a few friends and family who may visit it in order to try and help out.

So why do so many blogs fail? Blogs fail for many reasons, but the following are some of the most common reasons:

Reason Why Blogs Fail #1: The Topics Aren't Interesting

Most people aren't interested in reading a blog which discusses the development of butterfly gardens. Most people want to read about current events in pop culture and politics. But not only do they want interesting topics, they also want to read an opinion on those topics that is fresh. They want a different opinion that does not match up with the same repeated mumbo jumbo the mainstream press offers.

Reason Why Blogs Fail #2: The Information is Offensive

The majority of people who read blogs possess an adequate amount of intelligence. What I mean by this is that they generally are not ignorant. Maintaining a blog that promotes hate or political views in opposition to democracy is not the best way to build a readership.

Reason Why Blogs Fail #3: The Writing is Poor

The art of writing is truly becoming extinct today. So much emphasis is put on technology and the spell checker that people don't feel as if they need to be able to compose clean and concise sentences. However, this belief is wrong. If you can't write it will show. It will also deter people from ever visiting your blog again.

Reason Why Blogs Fail #4: There are no Links

Part of developing a readership is earning trust. One of the best ways to do this is to provide information in your blog that is factual and not fabricated. To avoid the potential of having people question the information within your blog, you should link to other credible Web Sites where the information can be verified.

Newspapers are a great choice for doing this; especially the nationally recognized ones, such as the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times.

Reason Why Blogs Fail #5: People Give Up

It's very easy for people to get discouraged and give up on their blog after only a few weeks. Most become discouraged when they realize that a strong readership is not developing as they had thought. However, blogs take time to develop and gain popularity. You should make sure and post new articles everyday in order to gain consistent readership. You also must understand that it takes time to develop a popular blog. It won't happen in a week, or even two weeks. It may take as long as a year, so make sure and give your blog enough time to grow before giving up on it.

Developing a strong readership for your blog won't be easy; however, if you dedicate yourself to it on a daily basis, and avoid the pitfalls mentioned above, your chances of success will be positive. Even if you never make money with your blog, you may find that if you can develop a strong readership, your blog may lead to other opportunities for you in life. That alone makes it worth not giving up on it.
